Brides and Groom’s often ask us some great questions about our services and about videography in general.  We are going to post the answers to some common questions in this part of our blog in order to better explain ourselves and our services.  Please feel free to leave a comment or email me with a question and I will post the answer here.

In General:

How do we book videography services for our date?

Fill out the form on the Contact Us page, shoot us an email, or give us a call!  We will respond right away to let you know if your date is available and set up a meeting.

What will my final DVD look like?

All of our DVDs come with a fully customized menu.  Pictures from your wedding day, your wedding colors, and your name and date will all be incorporated into your menu.  Your DVD will also include Chapter Menus and a Special Features Menu.  Our custom menus allow you to watch your DVD the whole way through, or choose a particular section to jump to.  Any enhancements will also be included on the Special Features menu of your DVD.  Your DVD will arrive with a personalized case and label as well.

Do you shoot in High Definition?

Yes, all of our packages include High Definition.  There are many options for delivery of your wedding in HD, including BluRay.  Contact us for any questions/details.

What areas does In Motion cover? Will you travel?

In Motion has offices in Jacksonville, FL and Tampa, FL.  We cover all surrounding areas for both cities.  Our Tampa coverage area includes St. Pete, Clearwater, Tampa, Land O’Lakes, and Lakeland.  Our Jacksonville coverage area includes St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, and Amelia Island.  If your wedding is outside the local or surrounding areas we would love to work with you and we welcome the opportunity to travel.  Please email us for a custom travel quote.

Do we need to meet with you in person prior to our wedding day?

We would certainly love to meet you in person before your wedding day.  However if this is not possible due to location or time restraints, we can take care of everything over the phone and through  e-mail.

I am afraid of feeling overwhelmed on my wedding day- what is your videography style?

Our goal the day of the wedding is simply to be an observer, and to help you re-live your day as though you were there experiencing it and watching it unfold.  We will never put the camera in your face and ask you to speak on the spot, however if you and your family members are comfortable interacting with the camera you are more than welcome to.

What happens to our tapes/files after the wedding?

We keep an archive of all your files after the wedding.  If you would like to purchase additional copies just let us know.  You have up to 1 year to purchase your raw footage.

Do you count your travel as part of the time included in our package?

No, we do not count the time it takes us to travel to the first location on your wedding day as part of your time. If you have multiple locations, the time between two locations does count as part of your time.

How long before the ceremony do you usually arrive on site?

Our collections include anywhere from 6-10 hours of coverage, and it is up to you how you would like to use that time.  Some couples prefer more pre-ceremony footage, whereas others would like us to capture all of their reception including their sendoff.  The choice is up to you.  Typically though we will arrive where you are getting ready about an hour and a half prior to the ceremony, and then our time runs continuous from that point on.

Where will your cameras be set up at the ceremony?

Every location is different, so we will choose the best position for our cameras when we set up.  Generally we place one camera toward the back of the ceremony site, and one camera will be located somewhere toward the front and off to the side.  This way we have two different shots to choose from in editing, and we are sure to not miss a thing.

Do I get to choose my own music, or will you pick it for me?

Brides and Grooms are welcome to provide music suggestions they would like included in their video.  About 1 week after your wedding we will get in touch with you to ask for some suggestions.

How long will it take to receive our final DVD?

Editing usually takes around 6 months.  Our wedding films require careful attention, and this time estimate is just an approximation.  Time may vary depending on the date of your wedding.  If a teaser video is included in your collection we will post it on our website within 4 weeks.  This way you already have something to watch and share with friends and family while we complete the final DVD.
